Id say get a bluebook or if you dont want to spend the cash and cant borrow one swing by a FFL that you get along with, I guarantee that they will have one behind the counter that you can look at. I dont remember ever seeing a Mossy in 20 ga for sale locally, Ive never bought anything under 12 ga myself so no idea. As for the Stevens, not a brand I am familiar with, condition plays a big part so more details really would be needed, is it banged up, is it rusted, etc? Ballpark guess, you would be looking sub $200 prices on each

That sounds like a screaming deal. Hopefully by this writing you have snapped that thing up. The Lee progressive kits are nothing fancy but have recieved BUYworthy ratings from Gun tests Magazine in the past. Lee is not the foremost name in reloading quality, rather the foremost name in ECONOMY reloading. Their equipment ain't fancy, but it'll do for a beginner. I wouldn't take one to camp perry, but you should get at least 10,000 rounds outta the thing before the press gets sloppy. It is true though that a single stage press is far better to learn to reload with because you learn each phase of the process intimately, and while you are learning, you are forced to handle each and every piece of brass 3 times---increasing the chances of your amateur eyes catching a piece of split brass or badly seated primer.

Finally, I can tell the truth: It was a ripoff. As a glock owner I have to say that until my GF won one at the Friends of NRA dinner the XD was just a lowly ripoff of the Glock. Now that there's one in the family, it is clearly a fine piece of engineering, a marvel that in all respects is nearly equal or possibly even equal to Gastons excellent design. Unless I'm in a mood to shoot my Kimber... or her new SigArms mosquito... Or, that gun over there... Boyd (collect the whole set) K

Here is a place to start to see what others are asking for similar firearms. the first is a mossberg 500C 20 Ga In decent condition http://www.auctionarms.com/search/displayitem.cfm?itemnum=7840620 The second is a Stevens 77C 12 Ga Pump Not in very good condition. The Stevens 77C generally sells for $75-$150 depending on condition.

Hi Jeremiah, That sounds like a great deal. You might need some other things you did not list like a powder scale and tumbler (w/media). I usaully recommend a single stage press when new to reloading but I think you can use that press model as one (single stage) If you find out reloading is something you're really going to get into, you might want to get another single stage press for 2nd operations like decapping (if you decap before tumbling), primer pocket swaging and case forming.
